Jaguar8 OP Raywide : It didn’t refinance. It just extended maturity but they already maxed out 300M. Extension will mean they cannot pay the loan on time and hence asked for extension.
Arrayfunction Raywide : Does that line up with the "death spiral financing" term? I don't know a lot about it.
Maybe folks took buying to celebrate their fall and give one last middle finger to Spirit's customer experience
Jaguar8 OP Arrayfunction : I think they celebrated the extension and their claim of 1B liquidity end of year which makes no sense of extending loan if you are highly liquid

Justin Brewer Jaguar8 OP : It makes total sense if they have a buyer who asked them to max out liquidity and push out the debt as long as possible. If I was buying them on the QT, that’s exactly what I would do.
Arrayfunction Justin Brewer : Is that how a leveraged buyout occurs? In my limited knowledge, that sounds more like what private equity does when they get a company. Not before. I know nothing about this though!
