Ex-Wall Street Darling Stitch Fix Sinks 20%+ After Hours Amid Larger-Than-Expected Fiscal Q4 Loss

SFIX shed to 20.5% to $2.98 shortly before 6 p.m. ET after the firm reported a $0.29 net loss per diluted share. That's wider than both the $0.17 in red ink the company reported a year earlier and the $0.19 that analysts had reportedly forecast.

Similarly, revenues for the three months ended Aug. 3 came in at $319.6 million -- down from $364.7 million a year ago, but better than the $317.3 million that published reports said analysts had expected.

Meanwhile, the company guided fiscal Q1 2025 revenues to $303 million-$310 million, below analysts' $331.3 million reported consensus forecast.

For fiscal 2025 as a whole, Stitch Fix projected revenues at $1.11 billion-$1.16 billion -- again, less than the $1.31 billion that analysts had reportedly been calling for.

Stitch Fix soared during the meme-stock craze, peaking at $113.759 a share intraday in January 2021. However, shares have fallen by more than 97% since then.

Still, CEO Matt Baer, tried to put a positive spin Tuesday on the company's latest results.

"While there is a lot of work still to do, I am confident we are on the right path to continue to improve the trajectory of our business, which includes returning to revenue growth by the end of [fiscal-year 2026]," Baer said in a statement releasing the company's numbers.
