NashX : Hedgies use synthetic shares (illegal, they sell shares that they don't even own) but sooner or later they will have to cover, and if the SP goes up due to good news, then Hedgies will be in big trouble as there won't be enough shares to buy, that's why they are fiercely attacking now, to make people panic and sell their shares for pennies, so that later, Hedgies can buy them to cover when needed
