FED interest rate decision . Dovish or Hawkish?
Interest rate is expected to stay put & the big show will be on the press conference. JP will be pressured politically to be Dovish in order to support the economy, stock markets & most importantly the election in November. On the other side of the coin, he has to be hawkish as stock markets have been over-priced & euphoria. Also, oil price has went up & inflation is going to ignite & go up soon.
Currently, retail investors are having high expectation that interest rate will be cut in June or July. What will happen if interest rate cut is going to delay further?
