Flying cars are coming!
I think the term "flying cars" definitely rings a bell for fellow Malaysians. Back in 2020, it was something that we laughed at. (Well, it was mentioned that Malaysia would have flying cars by 2020, mentioned in wawasan 2020 by Tun M. But obviously it didn't come true)
Fast forward to now, i stumble upon $Archer Aviation(ACHR.US$ and realized that people are actually putting in efforts to made this so called dream to come true! Im seeing efforts from not only innovators and engineers but also countries like US(which includes their DoD as well) , Saudi, Korea and Japan getting involved in this venture.
The "flying car" is not like what we expected it to be (a car that could suddenly transform to flying mode, like a Myvi with wings), it's more like a heli that run on battery or something I would like to call 'oversized drone that can carry people' . Flying cars are expected to launch in 2025 (statement by Archer aviation and JOBY, its main competitor). It might still sound like a "Alice in the wonderland' kinda thing to many, but I would love to see it come true. Betting my money on it.
