The French consumer confidence index in August 2024 rose to 92.1 from the previous month's 90, matching market estimates.
While still below the long-term average of 100, this is the highest figure since February 2022.

At the same time, the perspective on savings intentions increased (37 vs 35), households became slightly less negative about making major purchases (31 vs 32), and inflation expectations decreased (53 vs 47).
On the other hand, concerns about future savings capacity (9) and future unemployment rate (28) remained stable.
