Have a question. if lets say i put in 100k. i get about $10 a day in interest. will i get interest on the $10 the next day? i understand that 4.5% PA on $10 per day is not much. But just want to clarify.

Dadacai : Do you understand how a unit trust works as this is a unit trust. There is no interest or dividend given. The yield is the change in NAV (net asset value) of the number of units you hold, not the amount invested.
102504835 : I didn’t know the fund don’t pay out interest but only calculate increment in NAV. Thanks for informing.
RandomRando 102504835 : It still means compound growth though. Very slow compounding, but it is still more similar to getting interest on $100010.
102601340 OP : So let me try to get this clear. If let’s say the NAV today is 100, and I purchase 10 units of it, I would have invested $1000.
Assuming yield is 4% PA. Instead of paying out dividend or interest, the NAV will be 104 next year, and my investment will be worth $1040.
Now, let’s say another investor, Peter, would like to invest $1000 next year. He would have gotten 1000/104 = 9.615 units.
In the third year, the NAV will grow by another 4% to 108.16, and my investment will be worth $1081.60 and Peter’s investment will be worth 108.16 x 9.615 = 1039.95.
Is my understanding correct ?

Nothinghere 102504835 : Hi. I’ve invested 30k in this fund since last year. You can withdraw the profits/interest :) it accumulate interest daily.
