_ LDL _ : Hello, yes it will redeem from ur cash plus acct to fund your stock purchase.
Moomoo Buddy : Dear client, after your joining of SmartSave, if there is a negative amount in your account, your Cash Plus (Cash Management Fund) positions in the same value worth of the deficit will be redeemed
Notes:
1. We will check your account for any deficit at 7:00 AM and 8:00 AM every day;
2. When the currency between deficits and the redeemed amount is different, kindly make a currency exchange to pay owed money after the arrival of the redeemed amount. For details, kindly click the link below.SmartSave-moomoo帮助中心 Thank you.
Wanton soup OP : Hi, So if I don’t activate smartsave, my Fullerton sgd cash funds will not be automatically used to fund my singapore shares purchase?
HanabiSG Wanton soup OP : Yes it won’t deduct from there, it will just be negative cash on hold. Once you redeem from MMF it will pay back what was deficit. So usually I keep my cash ready when I want to in; as the redemption takes time to process. Somemore Fullerton process is longer than the CSOP.
Regardless of whether SmartSave is activated, it just ensures that any remaining cash on hand is not idling and they will help you put into MMF that’s all. It doesn’t mean that the money there can be used for either of the SG/US market immediately.
I get what you meant also, I wanted that so that both sides are generating when the time is right to put in. It is not so fluid as we wanted.
