Fundamental Flaws

$NIO-SW (09866.HK)$ Battery Swap Station adoption is low and too high cost to maintain. It is same as you open many shop but just fewer customer. Cost of battery ownership is with NIO, they have to fully absord these depleted battery with limited lifespan. it is a huge cost. This is reason why NIO is keep burning money. Money from Bag Holders, funding from Dreamer… and couldnt compete with 100 mainland EV car in market share. China is a highly competitve nation, it can optimize cost to the max to compete with others but NIO is reversing it with increasing operation cost

  • Jason_711 : As Nio car sales in increasing trend... mean in coming future more car going to utilize all the ready make battery swap station.... main blocking point for EV car for how far and how fast a battery to recharge will be resolved by  battery swap facilities, it definitely the long term solution for EV car behave like petrol car ... in term of backup battery .... any petrol station also need to build the petrol tank to keep the petrol while waiting for car come to use it... similar to battery swap station, they just need to spare some battery for spare and whichever battery that swap will continue to charge and use as replacement battery as well... as long as more vehicle sold and more ppl using this facilities, it will turn into long term income such as petrol station... not count into charges adjustment from time to time ...

  • 103027647 : got pro and con see how nio market it .a good point is nio can repair it own battery .this prolong for reuse still to charge rental fee .just like buy a house and rent out.after the initial cost of battery is earn back .so rental will be  free money collection each month

  • 151872513 : People said the same thing when I bought tesla in 2018. Saying EVs are not viable, I guess i was a bag holder and a dreamer too. My bank account told me otherwise. 😂😂😂

  • どらえもおん OP Jason_711 : Full Charge battery took 12 minutes. NIO battery swap in real test took 8 minutes. Search Youtube for real test

  • 151872513 : I can afford to gamble on NIO for the long term. Battery swap either fails, or it can create an monopoly, I am betting on monopoly. We will see what my bank account tells me in 2025-2027. 🤑🤑🤑

  • どらえもおん OP 103027647 : Ah repair battery , will you get a battery swap into your car and couldnt go a distance and need to keep swapping battery

  • どらえもおん OP : Gas station is use by all gasoline car. NIO battery swap is just within it fewer network. Gas station is a network of franchises but NIO need to own the cost of every battery swap station using Bag Holder and Dreamer Fund. There are some differences here on fewer consumer and who paying the cost here

  • Jason_711 どらえもおん OP : Full charge battery within 12 min (I do not see any brand have this ... up to 80% yes) DC charging with max 350kW also need 18 min for Hyundai Iqniq5. Tesla Y max 250kW also need 20min. higher kW come with higher cost due to higher power usage... swap battery take 8 min is too long.... but still shorter than 12 min with higher cost ....

  • 151872513 どらえもおん OP : Yes creating a monopoly that owns all the infrastructure is expensive. However, battery swap is customer focused, even you can't deny that. As far more NIO owners have chosen battery swap over charging when given both options. The  question is does NIO have enough funding?

With an authoritarian regime supporting it. I think we have the answer. Dilution is another question, but I will take a shot at a chance at a monopoly.

  • 151872513 Jason_711 : gen 4 station is like 2 and a half minutes per swap.
