GAMUDA surges to RM8.68 on data centre deal
•In a recent filing with Bursa, GAMUDA said its wholly-owned subsidiary, Gamuda Engineering, has secured a contract worth RM451.4 million from BCEI Malaysia to build a data centre in Cyberjaya, marking the company's third project win within just two weeks (NST, 4 Nov).
•As of this morning, shares of GAMUDA surged over 2.8% to a high of RM8.72, before settling to trade at RM8.68 at the time of writing. With the moves, GAMUDA’s year to date gain comes in at 89%, close to doubling its share price.
•Investors who wish to gain leveraged exposure to GAMUDA may do so via our call warrants, GAMUDA-C2V and GAMUDA-C2Q. GAMUDA-C2V's bid price has gained over 12%, while GAMUDA-C2Q has advanced over 20%. Investors with a relatively greater risk appetite may consider GAMUDA-C2Q which has a higher effective gearing of 7.9x, moving approximately 7.9% for every 1% move in the shares, meaning it has a higher profit potential but also a higher level of risk.
