Genting Malaysia Berhad - Issuance of RM400mil Notes
$GENM (4715.BMS)$ has recently announced the issuance of medium-term notes (MTN) with a nominal value of RM400mil. This includes tranche one of the fifth issuance under the RM5bil MTN program worth RM300mil and tranche one of the third issuance under the RM3bil MTN program worth RM100mil.
From the announcement, the raised capital would be used for operating expenses, capital expenditure, investment, refinancing, working capital requirements, and general funding requirements.
Personal opinion
-The issuance of notes will further enhance the cash flow.
-GENM is under the travel, leisure, and hospitality sector which is a recovery stock after the Covid pandemic.
-The increase in the number of international and domestic passengers as reported by (AIRPORT,5014) is expected to have a postivie impact on the travel, leisure, and hospitality sectors.
-Price fluctuation is expected to continue.
-The issuance of notes will further enhance the cash flow.
