German wholesale prices fell 0.1% in July

German wholesale prices in 2024/7 fell 0.1% from the same month last year, slowing down from a 0.6% decrease in the previous month.

Chemical products (down 8.4%), steel/semi-finished products (down 7.7%), livestock organisms (down 9.5%), computers and peripherals (down 5.5%), etc. fell.

Meanwhile, prices of coffee, tea, cocoa, spices (19.5%), non-ferrous ores, non-ferrous metals, and semi-ferrous products (15.4%), waste and scrap (15.2%), sugar, confectionery, bakery products (9.5%), and tobacco products (4.7%) rose.

On a monthly basis, wholesale prices rose 0.3 percent in July after falling 0.3 percent in June.
