Germany's Ifo Business Confidence Index falls unexpectedly

Germany's Ifo business climate index declined for 3 consecutive months in 2024/7 from 88.6 in June and the forecast of 88.9, to 87, the lowest since February.

Both the current situation (87.1 vs. 88.3) and expectations (86.9 vs. 89) deteriorated.

“The German economy cannot get out of the crisis,” said Ifo Chairman Füst.
