But a circuit breaker is technically a LUDP Halt ( Limit Up Down Pause ) It’s a temporary pause / halt in trading that happens anytime a tickers price trades up or down outside of pre set parameters in a pre set amount of time! They do this so traders have a few minutes to decide what they want to do? Sell, hold, buy more. And the pause, halt, circuit breaker gives that bit of time to think without the price continuing to go really high really fast! Or drop really hard and fast! I hope this helps?
