Google parent company is close to acquiring Wiz for cyber defense for 3.6 trillion yen - WSJ

The parent company of Google in the USalphabetsOne person involved familiar with the situation revealed that negotiations are proceeding for the acquisition of the cybersecurity startup Wiz.
There is a possibility that the total amount of the acquisition will be 23 billion dollars (about 3,630 billion yen), according to the person concerned anonymously saying that it is undisclosed information. If realized, it will be Alphabet's largest acquisition ever.
No agreement has been reached, and the person concerned said there is still a possibility that negotiations will not be settled.
The person in charge of Alphabet was asked for comment, but there was no immediate response. Wiz's spokesperson declined to comment. The US paper Wall Street Journal (WSJ) previously reported on discussions between the two companies.
