Google Search Engine: 1) Auto- complete banning Trump in search 2) Illegal Monopoly on search US Judge finds

$TSLA.US$ $BYD COMPANY.HK$ $NIO.US$ $XPEV.US$ I am sharing 2 articles related to Google to discuss the issues of getting a balanced view about a stock.
The first is about Elon Musk on Sunday claiming that Google has a "search ban" on former President Donald Trump, posting to his social media service X an image of a search box with the words "President Donald" typed into it. Below the box, autocomplete suggested "Donald Duck" and "President Donald Regan" as potential search terms, but not "President Donald Trump."

The second is about Alphabet’s Google broke the law with an illegal monopoly on online search, a federal judge ruled on Aug 5, the first big win for US antitrust authorities who have filed several lawsuits challenging Big Tech’s market dominance.
“The court reaches the following conclusion: Google is a monopolist, and it has acted as one to maintain its monopoly,” District Judge Amit Mehta wrote. The search engine giant controls about 90 per cent of the online search market, and 95 per cent on smartphones.

My Take:
In the first article, Google didn't deny what Elon Musk said but claimed it is an anomaly. Based on my experience, it is extremely difficult to search for certain investment information without using the "right" key words. I suspect Google SE (Search Engine) can influence what information we can receive. Hence I start to use other platforms (such as Weibo, Bing, X.com etc) to search for information in order to have a balanced view of a stock or a company.
In the second article, the trial of Google being monopolistic revealed the risk of using just one search engine for information. Someone claimed that Google SE is "unbiased" if we understand the algorithm. But I think Google "controls about 90 per cent of the online search market, and 95 per cent on smartphones" is a big concern because the information we perceived can be easily manipulated. And that may affect how I obtain a balanced view about a stock and a company or DYODD.

  • 72734102 : Is there a way yet to BAN Google for misleading so many gullible leftist. That aren’t capable of figuring out that they are being mislead. Just saying! Maybe a Congressional hearing? That might eventually lead to a slap on the wrist.

  • ZnWC OP 72734102 : There's very little we can do through banning and censorship. The best way is still the readers to manage what you should do or how you should react.
