Hamas and Israel reject compromise in Cairo

Reuters reports that in the cease-fire talks held in Cairo on Sunday, neither Hamas nor Israel agreed to the compromise presented by mediators.

Reuters quoted the story of two Egyptian security sources.

The proposals included alternatives to the Israeli military presence in the Philadelphia and Netzarim Corridors, but neither were accepted by the parties, Egyptian sources said.

Furthermore, the source added that Israel showed displeasure with some of the Palestinian detainees Hamas is demanding their release, and requested that they be removed from Gaza if released.
