Happy 1M Moomoo!
Congrats to Moomoo for attaining the milestone :) Here's my story.
It was around 2022 when I started to learn about investing, and met Lucas, a manager at one of the roadshows. He invited me to use Moomoo. I was interested because of the attractive welcome rewards and back then even $10 NTUC voucher was very enticing for a student. Sadly, I was unable to open an account back then due to age requirement, and only stayed on the sidelines. Joined Moomoo immediately after I turned legal, and I put my money into Fullerton SGD fund as I was studying and didn't have much time to trade. Now I am an active trader who is staying on the platform due to 0 commission and low platform fees, something I only knew after reading more about it.
My portfolio includes 50% of funds and 50% equities. I am still experimenting with the strategies and hence I am still quite conservative. I usually trade tech related stocks and meddle with oil stocks but I never earned from it lol. A top performer in my portfolio would be nvidia, and thanks to NVDA, I managed to double my account. If u wonder how I did it, I am a tiny account size holder who only have $2k inside lol so yeah I actually risked a lot in terms of my position sizing, living the "high risk high reward life". I'm transitioning from a passive investor to trader as I feel like that's a greater challenge for me as my mental game has to be so much stronger compared to when I was an investor.
As for goals wise, I hope to become a five figure trader as I continue to play around stocks, by the end of this year. I am less than 1/4 from my goal because I lost some money earlier from making impulse choices without knowing what I was doing ![]()

but I did learn what I did wrong by reading about the basics using Moomoo Learn. I hope that Moomoo will lower the tier for EUP or open up a special tier for people between 18-21 y/o because the 6.8% campaign is so attractive yet it limits users like us with small account sizing because we can't be a part of the promotion.
