Harris announces economic policies to deal with high prices

US Vice President Kamala Harris outlined economic policies focused on price cuts during a Friday rally and vowed to hold companies responsible for rising prices.

“As President, I am committed to creating opportunities to enhance the economic security, stability, and dignity of the middle class. Together, we will build an opportunity economy where everyone can compete and have a real chance to succeed,” Vice President Harris said in a speech at an election event in Raleigh, North Carolina. “Prices have risen during the pandemic, but supply chains have improved and prices are still too high,” Vice President Harris added.

Vice President Harris's plans include eliminating medical debt for millions of Americans, prohibiting food and food price hikes, setting an upper limit on the cost of prescription drugs, providing 0.02 million5,000 dollars in subsidies to first-time home buyers, and providing a $6,000 child tax credit for each child in their first year of life.
