Harris takes a tough stance on the immigration issue and supports providing weapons to Israel.

Savannah, Georgia/Washington, Reuters on the 29th.
Candidate Kamala Harris responded to an interview with a major news outlet for the first time since becoming the Democratic presidential candidate, vowing to take a tougher approach to immigrants along the southern border and stated that she would not refrain from providing weapons to Israel.
In an interview with CNN's Dana Bash, Harris, who is less than two months away from the election on November 5th, demonstrated that she understands the issues and sought to make the American people understand her policy positions.
Harris...We will once again promote the enactment of comprehensive border laws to tighten entry into the United States. He stated that he has pledged to enforce the law against people crossing the border.
We have laws to address and enforce against people who illegally cross the border.
She is loyal to President Joe Biden's strong support for Israel. She believes that we should reconsider sending weapons to Israel due to the high number of Palestinian deaths in Gaza. She rejects some voices within the Democratic Party. There is a new cycle approaching where central banks around the world are cutting interest rates and starting monetary easing.
While she supports a strong Israel, she said that a deal must be reached to achieve a ceasefire in the Gaza conflict.
"No, we must reach a (ceasefire and hostage) trade," Harris responded to the question of whether the supply of weapons to Israel would be restrained. She has been serving as Vice President since the start of the Biden administration.
Abbas Alawiyya, co-founder of the 'Regretful Citizens Movement' that has protested against Biden's policies, expressed dissatisfaction with Harris's response regarding Gaza.
"If the Vice President is interested in a ceasefire, she must support an immediate cessation of shelling," Alawiyya said.
Harris, along with Vice Presidential candidate Tim Waltz, the governor of Minnesota, wants to include Republican members in the cabinet if they win the election. However, Mr. Kirby stated that the weekend cross-border fighting had not affected the negotiations.
"I think it's important to have people with different views and experiences at the table when the most important decisions are made. And I believe that including Republican members in my cabinet would be beneficial for the American people," she said.

Harris defended her and Biden's response to inflation, stating that they inherited an economy ravaged by the pandemic, but Trump mismanaged it. She mentioned that many efforts were made to lower prices but said, "Prices are still too high."
Professor Jeremy Suri of the University of Texas at Austin (History and Public Affairs) stated that although Harris appeared knowledgeable and a "consensus former" in interviews, he could have provided a more specific answer about what he would do on his first day as president.
Since running for the presidency in 2020, Harris has moved towards the center on several issues until becoming the Democratic candidate to challenge former President Donald Trump from the Republican Party last month.
She has taken a tough stance on immigration along the US-Mexico border and does not want to ban the mining method of energy production that employs many people in Pennsylvania, one of the few influential states that could sway the election.
