Head Fake?
$Spirit Airlines (SAVE.US)$ I’m no expert, and I’m a bagholder, but I can’t imagine a scenario in which another airline doesn’t take a run at buying them at these prices. Their inability to be profitable post-pandemic is mostly conditional. A Frontier or Allegiant acquisition of SAVE makes sense since they could snap up the float for next to nothing (especially in a stock swap for virtually no cash) while just renegotiating SAVE’s short-term debt… with another rate cut likely. Who knows? Even Carl Ichan could swoop in like he did with JetBlue. I can’t be the only one who sees SAVE’s total assets in excess to liabilities.

QMengColdJoke : yes. They intentionally use cheap ticket to get market share. Making it profitable should not be too hard. (Hard because of higher human cost)
