Hello all, So I'm not sure if this is the correct place to post a question about Broker Connection Speeds & Performance although The problem I have experianced a few times in the past and always come out of the blue at times that mean the very most for a retail trader like myself. The trade speed issues that Ive noticied seem to happen at the (most opportune times especially surrrounding high value short squeezes and High price movement stocks. Today 12/17/2024 around 1:00pm MST this trading issue happend again.. Any way I had a great day with $NUKK today although But then when my scanner texted me that $NUKK had dropped down to $11.44 for a possible reversal and a great entry point given the run we had today in$Nukkleus (NUKK.US)$I figured Id post this senario on MooMoo and include all the trading details is to see if any other traders on any platform might have experianced the exact problems in the past or present as to then possibly diognose if this reoccuring trading issue might be happening with other broker websites as well. I thought maybe there might have been the same type of issues that others havew noticed with high volume/demand stocks that are very low float and or short squeezes, due to network bottle necks. etc Anyway, I decided to take the trade opportunity with$Nukkleus (NUKK.US)$at around 12:30pm MST. At first I was able to place 10 x 500 share orders with no problems. But then no sooner that I scaled into the stock I started having issues scaling back out using 100 share orders (best way to always get filled) or 99shares are even better if you dont wanna get skipped right over in a fast moving equity. Anyway once I purchased the shares I felt comforable with.... it seemed like Schwab's "Think or Swim" platform started lagging and running very slow for no apparent reason, they filled the orders fast but then the desktop trading application was not responding to much of anything that resembled my go tobrokerage service. Other computers in my office were running fine and the internet connection speed test showed up with 955Mbps and all the computers are managed by my IT guy. As for the Think or Swim windows desktop app its all updated and highest speed settings in the boot splash screen are set to the optimal config, and trading always works great with all brokers I use. Anyway the problems I was having while trying to trade were with stock quotes, charts, exiting shares and all around freezing up type issues. The reason I figured Id post this here is I wanted to know if anyone else might have had similar issues with either MooMoo or TorS (TorSwim is actually the trading clearing platform for MooMoo whenever you place a stock trade online) and if anyone else has seen simmilar issues when trading Short Squeezes anytime on any platform for that matter. And Ive noticed it mostly latter in the trading sesion and after hours with very high volume stocks that are in a short squeeze. If anyone has experianced the same types of issues with either of these for mentioned brokers or any others for that matter. At this point I feel the need to look into it more just for the sake of resting my mind assured that I'm able to get the best trade exicution available ( on the no commision - pay for order flow brokerage services ) Thanks in advance guys, Mark W.
