FollowsThatRainbow OP Andrew Ng Fu Qiang : Normally, I prefer you guys not to donate money but donate necessity to needy people who are living under poverty in SG. It's always better to teach these needy people how to fish than providing them the fishes.
For the start, begin with own your family members/relatives/neighbourhoods/friends, they might be having difficult times at this moment. By lending them a helping hand at their lowest point, you have already helped them alot. This type charity is much better than blindly donate money to organisations who take plenty of administrative fees. Hope this clarify.

Treat it just like service charge when you dine at the restaurant so you will not feel it.
To me, when the money flows to me, I will let some part of the fund to flows to others. Because by doing so, more dollars will be flooded to you before you realising. Believe it or not, you decide.
