How are fees deducted?

I am very new to the platform and trading as well. Just started recently.
I started with RM1000 to try out the platform. Currently investing in etfs and a lil bit in stock. I notice that eveyrthing is green but my P/L is still red. Then I remmeber about fees like the platform fees, stamp duty etc.
My question is, I bought RM 500 worth of etfs the other day, my account still shows my net assets to be RM 500. But in some day, eventhough things are green, my net asset dropped to 490 for no reason. I am curious is this due to the fees? How are fees deducted? Arent they deducted the moment you placed an order? Lets say if I buy 500 worth of shares, they should charge mr RM 510 where 10 is the fee? Or how does it work? Please enlighten me, thanks.

  • 上班对冲风险投资 : check this: Malaysia Stocks, ETFs, REITs and Warrants-moomoo Help Center  ,This is the price breakdown of the fees incurred by the exchange. The net asset change you mentioned may be due to the change in the stock market you purchased.

  • Moomoo Buddy : Hi there! It is actually normal for the fee to not be included in the P/L calculation. However, you can track this transaction in the app to see exactly how much was charged by following this pathway: [Account - More - Fund Details]. Additionally, if your stock holdings are in a foreign currency (e.g., USD), fluctuations in the exchange rate will also affect the number shown in your Net Asset Value.
