How did Belarus respond to Russia's invasion of Ukraine?

· Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko said that Belarusian air defense forces destroyed dozens of targets that flew over the Mogilev region on the Russian border on Friday evening.
・Belarus announced yesterday that it will dispatch more troops to the border with Ukraine, claiming that Ukrainian drones violated Belarusian airspace as part of Kiev's military invasion of the Russian-Kursk region.
・At the meeting in Minsk, Lukashenko said, “The Ukrainian military violated all codes of conduct and violated the airspace of the Republic of Belarus. It's very close to us in the east, in the Kostikovichi district,” he said.
・The Belarusian state news agency Berta reported that Lukashenko stated that “the government has made it clear to them (Ukraine) that it will not ignore any provocation.”
・Defense Minister Viktor Krenin of Belarus stated that the country regards the violation of its own airspace as a provocation and “is prepared for retaliation measures.”
・The Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs published a series of posts on X referring to reports of violations of its own airspace. In the latest post, it is stated that “Belarus may question the need for a Ukrainian diplomatic mission to continue to be stationed in Minsk.”
