HSI Adds 51 pts, Supported by HSBC, AIA

At midday close, $Hang Seng Index (800000.HK)$ added 51 points or 0.3% to 16,275. $Hang Seng China Enterprises Index (800100.HK)$ hiked 2 points or 0.04% to 5,483. $Hang Seng TECH Index (800700.HK)$ dropped 8 points or 0.2% to 3,476. The total half-day turnover of the market amounted to $40.737 billion.
For financials, $HSBC HOLDINGS (00005.HK)$ climbed 1.6% to $63.65, while $AIA (01299.HK)$ mounted 1.2%, contributing a total of 37 points to the HSI. $HKEX (00388.HK)$ cratered 0.4%.
For other stocks, $HANG LUNG PPT (00101.HK)$ , $GUANGDONG INV (00270.HK)$ and $CHOW TAI FOOK (01929.HK)$ leaped 2.8% to 3.4%. $ENN ENERGY (02688.HK)$ swelled 5% after it was upgraded to Outperform by Daiwa.
