HSI Dips 36 pts at Half-day

At midday, $Hang Seng Index (800000.HK)$ waned 36 points or 0.2% to 16,908. $Hang Seng China Enterprises Index (800100.HK)$ lowered 24 points or 0.4% to 5,950. $Hang Seng TECH Index (800700.HK)$ advanced 3 points or 0.1% to 3,389. Half-day turnover totalled $60.82 billion.

$TENCENT (00700.HK)$ incremented 0.3% to $359.2 after China approved 75 imported online games, including Rainbow Six Siege agented by TENCENT.

As for other tech stocks, $BABA-W (09988.HK)$ closed the half-day flat at $75.35. $MEITUAN-W (03690.HK)$ rebounded 2.6% to $106.7, $XIAOMI-W (01810.HK)$ , $JD-SW (09618.HK)$ and $NTES-S (09999.HK)$ fell 1% to 1.4%, and $BIDU-SW (09888.HK)$ reduced 0.6%.

Oil prices plunged 3%. $PETROCHINA (00857.HK)$ and $CNOOC (00883.HK)$ tumbled 3.1% and 5.1%. The slump in oil prices meanwhile boosted airline stocks, with $CHINA EAST AIR (00670.HK)$ , $AIR CHINA (00753.HK)$ and $CHINA SOUTH AIR (01055.HK)$ escalating 2.4% to 3.5%. Travel platform $TONGCHENGTRAVEL (00780.HK)$ and duty-free shop $CTG DUTY-FREE (01880.HK)$ lifted 3.1% and 2.7%.
