HSI Rises 101 pts & Tops 18,000 at Open; Techs Rally

Hong Kong stocks opened this morning (4 July) atop the 18,000 point barrier of $Hang Seng Index(800000.HK)$ , which opened 101 points or 0.56% higher at 18,079. $Hang Seng China Enterprises Index(800100.HK)$ opened 30 points or 0.48% higher at 6,486.

Tech stocks performed well. $TENCENT(00700.HK)$ opened nearly 2% higher at $386.8, $BABA-SW(09988.HK)$ opened 1.7% higher, and $BILIBILI-W(09626.HK)$ opened 3.3% higher. $MEITUAN-W(03690.HK)$ , $JD-SW(09618.HK)$ , $KUAISHOU-W(01024.HK)$ , $XIAOMI-W(01810.HK)$ and $BIDU-SW(09888.HK)$ each advanced 1% to 2% at open. $NTES-S(09999.HK)$ inclined 0.5% at open.
