Huawei has provided Ascend 910C sample chips to major Chinese server manufacturers and major internet companies, and has begun hardware testing and configuration verification. This chip is an upgrade from the previous model Ascend 910B, and is said to have performance comparable to NVIDIA's popular model A100.
Eric Xu Zhijun, the chairman of Huawei, stated that “it is unlikely that restrictions on AI chips by the United States will be lifted in the near future,” and pointed out that this situation has created opportunities for Huawei to provide computing resources through the cloud service business.
