Thank you for sharing such a powerful message, I always felt like investing is too tough, you need to come from the finance industry, need to have a lot of capital to start but moomoo has made it accessible for me. If I need the insights to make a sound decision on a company, I have all the key data I need under each stock, I can also test my strategy out using paper trading.
It makes it so much easier and simpler for all of us to invest in market opportunities. I grew up, focused on saving, the govt and people around me all talk so much about saving and all I can do is accumulate little by little hoping it will SAVE ME when I am older. But saving really kills so much opportunities, you leave your money with the banks, you make peanuts while they leverage to 10X your money for themselves. I was told fixed deposit is like the best thing I can do with my money and because of it, I feel like I am missing out so much in life, I cant happily enjoy the moment, cannot afford to reward myself because my money gets smaller over time.
Then now, thanks to moomoo, they have opened up a whole new dimension and perspective to what I should be doing and what I can do with this money 💰. Like over the past 2 years, my small efforts into buying into the S&P $Vanguard S&P 500 ETF (VOO.US)$ at least gave me a 10% growth and also moomoo cash plus is genius too at least I am earning about 5% with the $CSOP USD Money Market Fund (18000597.FD)$ with uninvested cash. Just moving my savings here also much better than it sitting in my bank. There is so much you CAN ALSO do with your money, don’t just let time pass you by, its about time IN the market not timing the market.
When you have an attitude of openess to learn and try instead of being fixated on old ways, you will discover new and better ways to live and enjoy life. My 55 yo uncle is always so fearful of trying investment apps like this, and he rather pay the bank high fees to do the exact same thing as he could have here…. Thats such a big cost to pay for the lack of openess. Pride causes blindness and unwise choices in life, I always remind myself to stay humble no matter where I am placed.
So for all those who fear or are just unsure about investing, try moomoo? You can test it out with papertrading first if you are unsure but try at the very least because you don’t know the opportunities you are missing out if you haven’t tried for yourself.
Anyways, its super easy for me to navigate and learn to invest here because the UI is quite straightforward. I also appreciate the overall account P/L tabulated so that I dont have to keep a whole excel sheet and update on every market movement. With standchart I had to have multiple accounts for different currencies and it is quite tough to diversify into different products (till today I could not figure that out so I gave up hehe 😝) . So now all I have is this one app + my bank account, easy to manage.
People say why here and not tiger or webull… ermmm maybe you should use the fee calculator and also calculate long term (esp after the promotional periods) its cheaper to be trading here lol. People always dont realise it and tell me that webull has 0 comms 0 platform fee for US Stock. Bruh… then I sent them the T&Cs, its only for 180 days -.- and after calculating properly, I realised the difference is huge. So be sharp guys!
