I am glad I'm testing the waters in trading on a cheap stock. Going to ride this out. Do stocks typically drop at the beginning of the trading day when people put buy orders in their queue? $MDJM Ltd (UOKA.US)$

wish I could help you out but I'm kinda new to this ish myself

This is a pump and dump stock and is purely based on social sentiment but with news can make it fly. Because it is a manipulated stock the order book may not be what it seems as they put in fake orders. Also, the chart and indicators may not be what they seem because they intentionally "paint" them how they want them to look. Welcome to the stock market

I hear ya! I only put 20 in for shits and giggles. and maybe learn something . I've lost like 10 bucks including a 5 dollar coupon I received somehow. oh well. I hear this is a shady platform anyway. 20 bucks isn't anything to me.

I appreciate you - it seems stocks are one of those "should be, but aren't" taught in schools, so even just getting the ball rolling is a big step forward

what a coincidence that you say that. my aunt was telling me last night that schools are supposedly beginning to teach kids about finances.

and yes I agree. I'm getting the ball rolling. I'm just mainly using this platform as a mock portfolio. and there are a few good folks in this community who are generous enough to take the time to help you out and answer any questions for you

That would be amazing. I'm tucking away for my kids, learning by trial and error, myself. Based off my observations, stocks "can" drop during the first bit after the market opens, so what I am going to try is I put in an order to sell at market close, since it is trending a slow increase, and tomorrow right after the market reopens, buy back at "hopefully" a slightly lower price. Fingers crossed

Meat Healer OP HailTheApocalypse : All good, thank you for your thoughts. I'm not too worried, I've invested $6 and am floating around $1 profit
