I just paid back my dad's wisdom with a Tesla Model Y. By NVDA.

Hey, so there's this story about my old man and me. He's a chip engineer, always talking about silicon and circuits. I mean, the guy could make a motherboard sound exciting. One day, he's all, "Check out NVDA, they're doing some cool stuff." And I'm like, "Yeah, sure, Dad."
So, I'm just a kid, right? But I start poking around in the stock market during my uni days. I throw a bit of my savings into NVDA. It's not like I'm going to get rich or anything, but it's, umm, I guess, my dad's echo (lol).
Fast forward a few years, and I'm checking my account one day, and I'm like - whoa, my little investment in NVDA has turned into a pretty sweet chunk of change. I could buy a PS5 or maybe a trip to Semporna, but then I think of my dad.
His car, man, it's a classic. It's older than I am and makes more noise than a didgeridoo. So, I hatch this plan. I tell him, "We're going out to check out some new tech gear." He's excited and not suspecting a thing.
We get to the dealership, and I lead him to this Tesla Model Y. He just looks at me like I'm a stranger, lol, and he asks, "What's this about?"
I said, "Dad, you've always been my go-to for everything tech. This is just a little thank-you for all the wisdom and the late-night tech talks."
He was speechless for a second, then he started laughing. "You little ripper," he said and clapped me on the back, "It must be you to drive us home today..."
That day, we didn't just drive home in a new car; we drove home with a memory that's worth more than any stock portfolio. And that's the story between me and my dad, mate.
