If the volatility of gold drops a little more, it's a buy.
$SPDR Gold ETF (GLD.US)$ Currently, the gold volatility index is still high at 16.37. However, since the volatility is downward, I might buy it if it drops below 16. With inflation likely to rise next year due to Trump's tariffs, gold is expected to increase, so it's quite good to buy gold when volatility is low. With Japan facing tariffs and a strong yen leading to low stocks, not buying bonds in Japan will undoubtedly cause gold to rise. Buying Japan's gold ETF is also a good idea. ^_^

J_M_RIN : I'm aiming for gold mining stocks, depending on how it falls If the drop is shallow, say goodbye ~ I'm looking for a time to buy laughing bari Bull 2x NUGT, so I wonder if it's good if it's shallow ~
ひろ0723 OP J_M_RIN : Good morning. ^_^ RIN, you have a wide range. Although it is still calm now, I am aiming for pure gold bullion with the expectation that it will still rise when inflation comes. I am also watching GVZ while thinking that Japan's etf may be even better if the stock market declines. ^_^
J_M_RIN ひろ0723 OP : I am concerned that the attractiveness may diminish due to the rapid development of the usa and the dollar index moving in a range for several years, wondering if the strong yen trend will end temporarily. I am considering it for the short to medium term. If the positive cycle in the USA continues and the market thinks it will turn strongly risk-on, I think it might be better to wait a little longer for the buying opportunity. Currently, while riding on the year-end rally for all, I am watching for opportunities.
ひろ0723 OP J_M_RIN : Gold has become both a safe asset and a speculative asset, often moving up and down with stocks. There is a growing belief and trend in the market that 'gold will rise,' so it might be a good idea to play with cash using gold ETFs, but unfortunately, the movement of the dollar is volatile. Next year, it is important to be cautious.
ひろ0723 OP J_M_RIN : Today, there has been a sudden shift to selling bonds. Hmm, I don't really understand (・_・;
J_M_RIN ひろ0723 OP : I think the market is already factoring in the strong USA, I believe bond yields may have reached a temporary peak, but there may be a possibility of being determined as less attractive than stocks, making it quite difficult to predict the extent of the decline. It is difficult to predict. If the Bank of Japan raises interest rates in December or January, and the USA cuts interest rates in December, if that has already been factored in, the USD/JPY might quickly drop, so it could temporarily recover slightly with interest rates. After that, until the facts are confirmed at the end of December with various economic indicators in the USA and the actual Bank of Japan and FOMC in December, there is no choice but to predict the future movements.
ひろ0723 OP J_M_RIN : That's right. In the context of a strong economy, interest rate cuts should have led to higher stocks and lower bond prices, but due to the Trump administration changes and uncertainty in sectors, bonds are actually being bought instead. In the near future, I believe this trend will continue, and even if high-tech stocks are not being strongly purchased, they shouldn't be sold. As long as the policies are clear and there are no semiconductor regulations concerning market concerns, stocks should rise quickly, so for now, it seems like we just have to wait. I used a calculator to calculate the distribution of sectors to buy at the beginning of the year, focusing on sectors less affected by exchange rates such as domestic demand and the space defense sector, thinking about going into 2025 ^_^ I still don't have the courage to invest in quantum computers.
J_M_RIN ひろ0723 OP : It's nice, I think next year will be the year of domestic small cap stocks, but I also believe that the index as a whole will become stronger, and I would like to build a portfolio that can ride the waves well. Quantum seems to be a bubble without performance in the first stage, so it might be good to look for excellent stocks after a major adjustment.
ひろ0723 OP ひろ0723 OP : I don't think I will buy Rocket Lab now, but I'm interested in ETFs that are categorized under defense, more towards space and security. I recently created my favorite ETF by adding about 10 more assets to an ETF that does not include Boeing and includes Palantir as a base. I expect the Uranium electrical utilities sector and the Quanta-included public utility sector to grow in the medium term. Although it's mostly focused on high-tech energy and infrastructure, I'm considering adding finance only for the year 2025, but I'm hesitant. I feel like I need to focus and increase my assets quickly in the next 2 or 3 years to secure the future. It would be great if RIN-san could reach one hundred million early as well. ^_^
ひろ0723 OP J_M_RIN : Even if it's a bit early to get involved before it turns into gold. Since the future is still unclear, I think I'll just watch it next year ^_^
