I think it is the removal of the EV tax rebates that have the sector spooked. Since Tesla blew past the sales threshold years ago, the rebate doesn’t help Musk, and the American market has soured on EVs. I believe letting the market dictate winners and losers is always better than allowing the gov to do so.
