๐ฅ I've made a BIG switch from NUE to BHP and here's why it feels so RIGHT! ๐
First off, $Nucor(NUE.US$ was soaring to the skies ๐ while $BHP Group Ltd(BHP.AU$ was taking a breather at a lower level.
But here's the kicker - BHP offers a WHOPPING 4.99% yield compared to just 1.1% from NUE! ๐ธ And guess what? Their expected EPS in 2024 still gives us roughly the same P/E ratios. ๐ค
Plus, I'm NOT a fan of Nucor's crazy stock repurchases! ๐ I like to keep a diverse mix of metal/commodity stocks in my portfolio, which is carefully crafted to neutralize all sorts of external changes and grow at a steady 3%-5% above inflation over the years. ๐
Of course, I do dabble in some short-term trades, but only with a tiny slice of my portfolio. I'm all about preserving my capital, after all! ๐ฐ
