I wish for an improvement to the coupon system for stocks and funds

I've been a proud user of our favorite brokerage app, $Futu Holdings Ltd (FUTU.US)$, and I must say that Moo Moo had always been listening to our feedback and improving their application over time. I'm really happy with this app, but there are some minor tweaks that could be made to make the app even better.

I do hope that Moo Moo can improve the coupon system so that the user experience will be a lot better for us. Currently, the coupon system will automatically select the best commission free coupon, and as users we can uncheck it. That's great, the coupon system for commission coupon is a game-changer – one click, and you've got the best deal automatically.

But here's the thing: when it comes to stocks, and fund coupons we're missing out on that sweet simplicity.

Moo Moo gives out a lot of stock cash coupon, I mean a lot. especially with the fishing game

I wish for an improvement to the coupon system for stocks and funds

However, we cannot choose these coupons in the coupon system. So a lot of us are just left wondering if the coupons are being used. This problem is faced by hundreds of users in our moomoo event & promo group chat.

See the image below? I have so many coupons above but I can't choose any below.

On top of that, for the fund coupons, we need to click on the coupon that we want to use even though Moo Moo already know what is the best coupon to use.

So, how about we rally for an upgrade? Imagine this: Whenever we are buying stock, options, futures, FX or funds, the coupon system automatically applies the best coupons selection from all the coupons that we have. Time saved, more efficient investing – what's not to love?

The system should be able to handle for stackable coupons too, such as commission free coupon plus stock cash coupon.

If we like more details or to choose the coupons we want to apply, we just click on the dedicated coupon section where we can effortlessly choose the coupons.

I know that the codes, UI and algorithm are are already in place. So with a touch of tech magic, we can definitely make the user experience smoother. Let's have that seamless coupon experience across the board.

I do have more items on my wishlist, but this is so important that I will only put this on my wishlist

snoopy123 : appreciate your suggestions on both the fund and stock cash coupons tweaks.. some of these things are probably at the back of our mind when we encounter them but sometimes we're too lazy and dont really think too much about it so it's good that you bring them up.. just sharing my 2cts here but i'm thinking the fund cash coupon can be "selected" and "utilised" when you place the fund order coz the order will be "filled" at the time of placement... so it makes sense that they allow us to choose the best coupon we want to use (i.e. we can decide which ones we want to use based on its expiry and cash value) but when looking to the stocks scenario, esp where some users may be placing multiple stock orders (say, limit orders), there is no guarantee which ones will be "filled" and in what order... so any cash coupon "selection" at this juncture may or may not be so helpful or ideal.. coz i suppose they wouldnt want you to have the possibility to tag one particular cash coupon on multiple orders, and by associating a specific cash coupon on a specific order could not guarantee that it will be "utilised" first so we could risk its expiry if the coupon being tagged is not "filled" while another order could be "filled" instead.. therefore, i think the current system does have its pluses by letting the system "choose" and "utilise" the best available coupon after the stock "buy" order has been "filled" (completed).. it could be helpful for moomoo to help shed some light on how this mechanics is done in the background to allay any fears that the coupon would not be used.. but nonetheless, when all else fails, i am hopeful that the cs will always be on hand to tackle any "exceptions" by helping us to "utilise" the "right" coupon lah ..

doctorpot1 OP snoopy123 : True true, that is for cases where there are 1 coupons but multiple orders. One way to incorporate that scenario in, is just to show an indicator of which coupon is eligible to be used instead of selecting which one to use.

The problem that most of us are facing is uncertainty if we fulfilled the criteria for the coupon to be used or not. So it is a lot of extra work to read and understand the T&C, to ask others if the coupon will apply, and then pray it will be used hahahhaa
