Indian stock SENSEX hits record high again
Indian stocks rose 226 points (0.3%) to 80,746 in early Monday morning trading, rising for 2 consecutive days and hitting record highs for 2 consecutive days.
While all sectors rose, Nifty 50 rose 0.3 percent to surpass 23,500.
The BSE mid-cap index rose 0.3%, and the small-cap index rose 0.3%. The BSE mid-cap index rose 0.3%, and the small-cap index remained flat.
Sentiment picked up during the fiscal season, and optimism about quarterly results was supported.
BSE Sensex followed Friday's rise on Wall Street. As the inflation rate eased further, expectations for the Fed rate cut in September increased.
Traders also paid attention to the Chinese Communist Party's 3rd NPC amid growing expectations for strengthened economic stimulus measures in mainland China.
China's second-quarter GDP growth rate fell short of expectations due to the prolonged real estate recession and sluggish domestic demand.
Shriram Finance (2.1%), NTPC (1.9%), ONGC (1.8%), etc. rose.
HCL Tech rose 1.7% because financial reports exceeded market expectations, and State Bank of India rose 1.5% in response to a decision to raise loan interest rates.
