Intel's stock price decline raises concerns of being excluded from the Dow Jones Industrial Average.

September 4, 2024, 3:39 PM GMT+9 (excerpt)
Speculation is growing that the stock price of Intel, a leading US semiconductor company, is faltering, and it may be removed from the list of constituents of the Dow Jones Industrial Average.
Intel's stock has fallen by about 60% since the beginning of the year, making it the largest decliner among the constituents of the Dow Jones Industrial Average, and its stock price has hit a low.
UBS Securities' report that global semiconductor sales in July decreased by 11.1% compared to the previous month was met with pessimism. As a result, semiconductor stocks were heavily sold off in the US market on the 3rd, and Intel's stock also plummeted.
