  • GoldmanStacks : that will bring up their next earnings, less expenses.

  • YUSRIZAL OP GoldmanStacks : yup you are right, anyway this also means that many of their projects cancelled and would affect their revenue and profits. Anyway lets see how is their next direction. Thanx on the hint.

  • EZ_money : layoffs are good in many aspects I've seen stocks rise many times after. it's like the other person said less expenses. no benefits no salaries no paid sick days. most companies have been laying off

  • GoldmanStacks EZ_money : MSFT is an example this earnings

  • 131313 : layoffs would also caused a huge compensation to employees (especially company like intel, employees easily served more than 5 years - average 7 months of compensation), then your existing employees cannot take the stress, leaving... and ended up spent more money to hire the equal quality employees. Many MNCs been doing this again and again ... sometimes we as an employees we knew some layoff doesn't really make sense.

So, don't expect layoff savings would see benefits in short run, some actually have reverse impacts.

  • 104595693 : SEA employees are usually safe from layoffs because we are cheap labours and won't make a big impact. when a company makes a big layoff in SEA region that means it is dying already

  • GoldmanStacks 104595693 : we are all engaging in speculative trading here, and the reality is nobody here knows anything.
I speculate that INTC will be a minimum of double in price by December 2025. News outlets are indirectly owned by hedge funds, and so are brokers who know way ahead of time where they will be going, and so articles and news, ratings are tailored to move retail perception into the direction that is most beneficial to big money and never retail. you can just take a look at the amount of institutional buying in INTC since August 29th alone. Even if all of us Bulls are wrong, are all these multi-billion institutions wrong?
