Nvidia earnings beat, but stock falls: A buying signal or market caution?

$Intel (INTC.US)$$NVIDIA (NVDA.US)$ Why does Intel still exi...

Why does Intel still exist, if it is more expensive and has poorer performance compared to AMD? Since Intel still gets sales every year, why won't business owners move to AMD, since they are spending money on infrastructure upgrade anyway?? Are they stupid, because they want to spend more money and get less work done?
The reality is Intel comes with its proprietary software such as compilers and mpi etc. When a code is implemented, it is also optimised against these Intel products. Over the past many decades, the amount of codes built on the Intel system has become so substantial, they basically move our society as a whole. If you switch to a different platform, which GNU compiler version do you use for the programs to be compatible with AMD? Which mpi do you use for them to be compatible with a queuing system such as Slurm? Nothing will get done without a queuing system in computing centres. Finally, just because a program runs on AMD, it doesn't mean it has the same performance as Intel. It is very likely slower due to the lack of optimisation.
The work required to migrate every existing program to a different platform is not going to do itself. Somebody has to do the work, and somebody has to pay for it. Is it going to be you, a retail investor, who comes in and does all the IT work? Or are you going to fund the activity?
Research and development by Intel has slowed significantly, but Intel is also very reliable in that they will run for a long time without issues. System-wise upgrade is slow, because you don't need to purchase a complete set of Intel every year. I do believe Intel will return with a more rapid growth eventually.
