Investing in The Big Three
Have you considered investing in your go-to bank? Which bank stock do you find most promising?
I have shares in $DBS Group Holdings(D05.SG$ and $OCBC Bank(O39.SG$ and they are reliable dividend stocks. $DBS Group Holdings(D05.SG$ in particular is pretty resilient in its stock price movements and I like that the dividend payouts are quarterly. I’m not bothered if the price goes below my cost in the short term as I’m confident the price will recover.
Are you bullish on the future performance of Singapore's top three banks in the next quarter? Will you consider investing in Singapore banks to diversify your investment portfolio?
I believe the big 3 $DBS Group Holdings(D05.SG$ $OCBC Bank(O39.SG$ $UOB(U11.SG$ are fundamentally solid stocks that will continue to perform well if one has the holding power and go in at prices that are not too high. I will look to pick up more when the opportunity presents itself.

Dadacai OP snoopee : NIM can be affected in the short term but I don’t see dividends decreasing and I’m holding these stocks for the long term.
Dadacai OP aoimizu : I can go to sleep peacefully at night with these stocks and I’m not using cash I need in the short term to invest.
aoimizu snoopee : Yah have some of these concerns too. the banks' value went up a lot with interest hike. not sure how it might affect when rates are cut.
aoimizu Dadacai OP : Yes so true haha. especially when they pay fat dividends
Dadacai OP aoimizu : Of the three, $UOB (U11.SG)$is the most generous with dividends but that’s the one I let go of last time when I was new to bank stocks.
