Investing journey: looking back at 2024
The most unnerving moment in my 2024 investment journey was August 5 selloff event. A seemingly obscure concern about something called “unwinding carry trade” emerged from Japan, crashed their market (-17.5%, a largest 2-day decline in history, OMG), and then reverberated through the world. Though recovery was swift, and S&P is now up over 19% from the panic lows on August 5, it was still a mighty reminder of what market panic looks like. My personal choice for Moomoo feature most useful in trading is Custom screen of the desktop trading app. For me it is a great way to set up a focused view on my current trade, with everything I need and nothing I do not. The interface is simple and intuitive. I am looking forward to more useful widgets Moomoo adds in the future!
