Iran insists US is not a “neutral” intermediary in cease-fire negotiations

Acting Iranian Foreign Minister Ali Bagheri Khani discussed the cease-fire negotiations held in Doha with Qatar's Foreign Minister Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani.

“It mentioned the aggression and criminality of the Zionists in Gaza and warned of the deception and dishonesty of the criminal organization that controls Tel Aviv at the negotiating table and the United States, its most important supporter,” the foreign minister posted on X.

“By supplying Zionists with weapons of war, the United States is an accomplice and not a neutral intermediary,” the foreign minister added.

Hamas has previously stated that Israel, the US government, and other Western countries have given Israel the “necessary cover and time” to carry out a “barbaric mass murder.”
