Iran's Pezeshkian is said to have urged the IRGC to avoid an all-out war with Israel

The Telegraph reported on Friday that Iran's new president, Masoud Pezeshkian, is trying to put pressure on the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) in order to avoid an all-out war with Israel in response to the Hamas political leader Ismail Haniya being killed in Tehran in an Israeli attack. The newspaper reported it as a story about Mr. Pezeshkian's close aide.
“Pezeshkian is concerned that any direct attack on Israel would have serious consequences,” a source told the media. “He said that Iran was lucky that it didn't reach an all-out war with Israel last time, but that might not be the case this time around,” they added.
According to the report, the IRGC is promoting direct attacks on Tel Aviv and other Israeli cities, and the president argues that Israel's secret bases in Iran's neighboring countries should be targeted. However, the final decision on how Iran should respond to Israel will be made by Iran's supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.
