Iranian president vows to 'make Israel regret its cowardly action'

President Masoud Pezeshkian issued a statement saying Tehran will protect its territorial integrity and dignity.

“Today, dear Iran mourns Haji Ismail Hanye, a shared bearer of sorrow and joy, a proud constant companion on the path of resistance, a brave leader of the Palestinian resistance, and a martyr of Al-Quds. Yesterday I raised his winning hand, and today I must bury him on my shoulders.

Martyrdom is God's art. The bonds between the two proud nations of Iran and Palestine are stronger than ever, and the path of defense for those who have been resisted and oppressed will continue stronger than ever.

The Islamic Republic of Iran will protect its territorial integrity, honor, dignity, and pride, and make terrorist occupiers regret their cowardly acts.”
