I can tell you this has been like this since the rate hike. you might have an exceptional event that is called Black Swan but the money market players will kill the options.
that is how they make money. they don't make money by seeing charts, they make money by seeing the options laid. to make it simple, is just like you go into a casino play roulette. the casino owners have sensors to detect your chips that are placed and will control the speed of the roulette to make everyone lose by landing on green.
