Is NVIDIA stock going to $144? One Wall Street analyst thinks so.

$NVIDIA(NVDA.US)$ The stock price seemed to have continued to rise without time to breathe for several months, but recently reversed. The stock price is currently down nearly 13% from the intraday high of over 140 dollars last month.
There are Wall Street analysts who think that the stock price of this artificial intelligence (AI) leader company will quickly rebound and exceed the highest value in history. Morgan Stanley analyst Joseph Moore (Joseph Moore) published a new note on NVIDIA on Monday, raising the target share price from 116 dollars to 144 dollars. Mr. Moore determined this stock price by seeing a rapid increase in earnings per share (EPS) over the next year. Moore believes Nvidia shares are worth buying since his new target share price is equivalent to an increase of about 17.5% from the current stock price.
In response to a data check pointing out that demand is strong not only in the US but also in China, Mr. Moore raised the EPS forecast for next year from semiconductor giant Nvidia from 2.94 dollars per share to 3.34 dollars. Mr. Moore believes that Nvidia “remains the most fascinating story in the AI (semiconductor) field, and visibility and backlog will improve drastically as we move from H100 to H200 to Blackwell.”
This last point is the key to investing in NVIDIA today. Even after recent adjustments, NVIDIA's stock price was rising above the growth in earnings and profits. In other words, further growth has already been factored into stock prices to some extent.
However, even now that Nvidia is preparing to begin mass shipments of the new Blackwell AI platform, demand for the company's H100 and H200 graphics processing units (GPUs) is high. This is because many Nvidia customers are waiting in line to obtain these high-intensity computing chips necessary for generative AI model training.
Even if shipments of the new Blackwell chips accelerate, such sales will remain strong. That's why investors should still buy NVIDIA shares with peace of mind. Even after a significant rise, there is a strong base of sales, and an even stronger pipeline of new AI products is ahead.
