Is the AI phone coming?

In a report on Wednesday, US Bank analysts pointed out that mobile phones will require more powerful computing power to handle the daily use of artificial intelligence applications, which means the best "replacement" opportunity for mobile phone manufacturers, pushing active users of 2.20 billion smartphones into the artificial intelligence stage.

Wamsi Mohan, a senior stock research analyst at Bank of America, calls the artificial intelligence phone IntelliiPhone and believes this is a once-in-a-decade upgrade opportunity that will last for many years, similar to the step-by-step feature improvement driven by smartphones.

Mohan added that IntelliiPhone will provide consumers with new experiences that smartphones cannot match, including augmented reality and virtual reality experiences, health monitoring, etc. With the development of artificial intelligence technology, the gap between IntelliiPhone and traditional smartphones will further widen, thereby driving consumers' desire to upgrade.

The arrival of the era of artificial intelligence mobile phones has also made Bank of America very optimistic about Apple's prospects. Mohan reiterated his buy rating and $230 target price for Apple's stock on Wednesday, which means Apple will rise by 20% next year.

However, considering the usage of AI, AI PCs may arrive earlier than AI phones.
