Israel's War on Gaza: Recent Events

・The Israeli military has launched “intense” air strikes across southern Lebanon, and stated that the purpose of these “aggressive” air raids was to remove Hezbollah's “threat.”
・Hezbollah announced large-scale drone and rocket attacks against Israel, and stated that this concentrated artillery fire was in retaliation for the Israeli military's killing of the military's supreme commander Fuad Shukr in Beirut in July.
・The Lebanese armed group said they fired more than 320 drone barracks and battalion rockets at 11 Israeli military bases and barracks as the “first phase” of a retaliatory attack.
· According to Israeli media, at least one woman was slightly injured by falling debris during the Hezbollah attack. There were no immediate reports of casualties in Lebanon.
・Israel's Defense Minister Yoab Gallant declared that the “state of emergency” will continue in the country for the next 48 hours in response to the announcement that the United States will continue to support Israel's “right to self-defense.”
・Tel Aviv's Ben Gurion Airport temporarily suspended flights after Israel announced the attack, but resumed operations at 7 a.m. (4 a.m. GMT).
