Israel's War on Gaza: Recent Situation

・The Israeli military continued shelling of the Gaza Strip throughout the night, attacking homes in the Dalazi district of Gaza City, killing 5 people.

・Israel's Defense Minister Yoav Gallant condemned “violent and radical riots” by extremist Israeli settlers in the West Bank village of Jit.

· The US also condemned riots by extremist Israeli settlers as “unacceptable” and stated that Israel, a key ally, must protect the Palestinian “community” “from harm.”

・US Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump criticized President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris calling for a cease-fire in Gaza.

・Mr. Trump also told Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu to “seize victory” at talks held in Florida last month, but insisted that “killings must be stopped” in Gaza.

・Israeli military fighter planes and artillery attacked bases in southern Lebanon overnight, including buildings used by Hezbollah in Kfar Kila village and locations in Rmeish and Ramyah villages.
